Animal Magic!

seven week long Animal Magic class is over!
We had to present our sketchbook studies and six different animal studies-so called 'finals'
post up on the wall for final presentation.
Things went through well and all classmates enjoyed free taco lunch (that school provided hehe)
afterwards!
also we went to Norm's house to party after class!!!!!! ; )

She is the lady bug grandmother, whose upper body is human, but has lady bug legs.
She always carries her bug-shelled- house with her.

Remember the moment when Cloud-Men make rainbow sticks?
When I was little, I used to think there are many rainbow arches up in the sky
and aliens store all arches, wrapped with cloud roles lol
so I added my thought to the image.

This image was the first assignment for BG Painting by Nick Domingo.
...He basically gave one week to work on it, from concept all the way to the full color,
so l had to condense my knowledge to come up with the image.. (which means base on my slow process, l still need to put more time to correct it more and more!!)

However, l accidentally deleted the work from my laptop (T0T), so l only have this SCANNED IMAGE OF THE PRINT OUT- T_T Sigh... ALWAYS HAVE A BACK UP FILE!!!!!! ALWAYS!!!

Anyway, it's the scene when James and his friends find Cloud-Men up on the sky.

l twisted the story time period and location; James is Turkanan (one of the tribes in Kenya) in Kenya, and his dream place to go to is Morocco...
The time is in the 19th century..
my reference artist is Nik Klein. God he is just sooo amazing...

Matte painting! it was so new to me!!! l learned lots about PHOTOS....
my piece is 'the end of the world,' and there are two figures(refugees) who survived from air pollution that is caused by red moon that blocks lights(too unrealistic? l know...sigh)

wow, it has been awhile since l have uploaded last works.
so, l had an AMAZINGLY fun class, a STORYBOARDING CLASS last term, and l have learnt so many things about camera movements, shots, composition, etc.
here is the story beats -one of the assignments we did in class. l chose 'Open Season', one of my favorite animation, that l re-designed the camera angles.
